Why?
Because six years ago Mark’s son Jayden was riding these same trails when a freak accident left him a T12 para using a wheelchair. And Mark and his mates want to give back to the Trust that supported Jayden and the whole whānau as they all came to terms with what their new future would be.
This year Jayden can’t be there … he’s busy grooming the ski slopes in Whistler, Canada … but the rest can’t wait. They’ve been training and planning and plotting to make it bigger and better than ever! This will be the THIRD Arapuke Awesome so they know what they’re about (and yet they’re still willing to put their bodies on the line for this …).
The ride is taking place from 10am Anzac Day (Friday 25th ) until 10am on Sat 26th April. They would love you to come along for a visit and to cheer them on – maybe even bike a shift with them?
Most importantly – give them money, make a donation, and help them raise a whopping $25,000 to support a cause they all fervently believe in.
