Why we are choosing to support NZST
Tina: My husband experienced a critical spinal injury while Mtn biking in Italy, he had life saving surgery, his healing has been miraculous. NZST is close to my heart.
Carole: Because a close friend suffered a severe spinal injury in a mountain bike crash a couple of years ago. Luckily he was not left paralysed but it is still a long road to recovery for him.

Tina: I am 60yrs old, married, 3 girls, 2 moko and another on the way, horses, cats and a dog at our whare. I am a mtn biker, not a road cyclist – but giving it a go. I whakapapa to Pare Hauraki, Ngati Tamatera, Ngati Maru, Tūhoe ko Moehau te Maunga, Ko Tīkapa te moana, Ureia tōku Taniwhā
Carole: This is my second Tour of NZ but my first time riding for the NZST team. Two of my closest mates and I have chosen to ride for the NZST out of support for a family member/friend who suffered a spinal injury after a horrific and life-changing mountain bike accident.
This will be a very meaningful hikoi for us.
